Step 1: Open the image you wanted to “Flatten”. If it’s already opened then great!

Here’s mine before I added anything that I wanted to flatten.



Step 2: In the “Layers” Palette you will see that you have more than one layer. I’ve just added text to my image so I now have two layers as you can see below.



Step 3: Go to the “Layers” menu in the toolbar and select “Flatten Image”.



Step 4: It’s flattened! Now you probably will want to save it. If you don’t, you’re done! If you do, move to the next step.

Step 5: Go into the “File” menu in the toolbar and select “Save As”.



Step 6: Type the title of you image in the “File name” field and select the format you want to save it under (I chose “JPEG”). Click “Save”.



You’ve now flattened an image! Great job!
